MILFORD – New Hampshire Antique Co-op will be hosting its annual holiday open house from Nov. 29 through Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Visitors will enjoy delicious refreshments and sweet treats, a gift card contest, a scavenger hunt with prizes, a gallery preview tour of a new fine art exhibition Light and Brush: Luminous and Tonal paintings from the 19th Century to Present as well as special savings throughout the shop. The shop will be decorated for the holiday season and NHAC’s dealers stock their booths with unique antique gift ideas and nostalgic items of yesteryear.
“Join us for a festive old-fashioned outing the weekend after Thanksgiving. It’s a great annual tradition here at New Hampshire Antique Co-op, and a great way to entertain your family and visiting guests,” said co-owner Jason Hackler, who together with his father, Samuel Hackler, own and operate New Hampshire Antique Co-op. “We’re a family business and we welcome all ages to enjoy our annual Holiday Open House. You’ll have fun hunting for those unique antique and vintage gifts. The scavenger hunt is always a hit, and we’ll have plenty of treats and holiday cheer.”
The open house kicks off on Nov. 29 at 10 a.m. with a weekend-long storewide sale. Visitors can stroll the aisles of New Hampshire Antique Co-op and discover unique items sure to please the antique enthusiasts on their gift lists. Take a chance on guessing how many candy canes are in a jar, the closest guess wins a NHAC gift card. Test your scouting skills with an antique-themed scavenger hunt to win prizes.
Next is Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30, a nationwide endeavor geared to inspire patrons to shop locally.
The fun continues on Dec. 1 with gallery tours of the new fine art show, Light and Brush, featuring luminous and tonal paintings from the 19th century to present. The exhibit includes more than 50 works from the late 19th century to early 20th century. Featured artists include Fitz Henry Lane, William Frederick DeHaas, Alvan Fisher, William Hart and Bruce Crane as well as works by contemporary artists Erik Koeppel, William Davis and Dennis Sheehan. Bring the family and see all of these wonderful works on display in the art gallery.
