Nashua man charged with burglary, domestic violence
NASHUA – Robert Brown III, 25, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Sept. 19 on a felony warrant for burglary.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to a residence on Sept. 7 for a 911 hangup call. The location has not been disclosed.
The female victim, whose identity was not released, told officers that Brown had forced his way into her apartment. Once inside, Brown allegedly assaulted the victim and took her phone while she was trying to call 911.
Brown had reportedly fled the scene before police arrived and was captured 12 days later.
Brown was charged with burglary, four counts of domestic violence, obstructing the report of a crime or injury, simple assault, criminal mischief and theft by unauthorized taking.
At the time of his arrest, Brown was also wanted for credit card fraud and theft by unauthorized taking.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 23 years in prison, up to five years probation and up to $19,000 in fines.
Brown was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Sept. 20.
