MERRIMACK – Fimbel Garage Doors recently received Door Dealer Accreditation by the Institute of Door Dealer Education and Accreditation, a division of the International Door Association that manages education and professional development opportunities for organizations and individuals in the garage door and access systems industry.

This seal signifies a commitment to industry excellence, an accomplishment that fewer than one percent of garage door dealers in North America have achieved.

To earn this badge on behalf of the family-owned organization, General Manager Jon Fimbel demonstrated professional knowledge of the ever-changing industry and its products by successfully passing written examinations on the subjects of accounting and general business principles, Legal and Insurance, OSHA regulations and safety compliance, residential technical basics, commercial technical basics as well as sales and marketing management.

Fimbel also provided documentation of exceptional business practices and received recommendations from industry peers and business partners.

The final steps of the business accreditation process took place in April 2024 at the annual IDA Expo in Las Vegas where several Fimbel Garage Doors team members also earned individual certifications. Technicians Tucker Martin, Timothy Maghakian and Jason Drechsler earned the title of certified master technician after completing four IDEA credential programs focused on residential installations, commercial sectional door systems, commercial rolling door systems and rolling steel fire doors.

Fimbel Garage Doors had a strong presence at the annual Expo, with six individuals earning certifications in their technical specialty, bringing the company’s total number of certified technicians to thirteen. At the April gathering, Vice President and Lead Technician Andrew Fimbel accepted the Door Technician of the Year Award, a prestigious honor that recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional skill, dedication, and contributions to the garage door industry.
