WINDHAM – Matthew Woo, 51, of Allenstown, was killed on the morning of June 4 when his GMC Envoy flipped over on Interstate 93.
According to State Police, emergency personnel responded to the scene, just before exit 3, at 9:54 a.m.
Upon arrival, crews reportedly found the Envoy on its side in the left lane on the northbound side of the highway. They also determined that Woo had been thrown from the vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further investigation indicated that Woo was initially traveling southbound on I-93 when his vehicle was sideswiped by a Mack truck driven by Giani Cancellieri, 31, of Brookline. The collision reportedly caused Woo’s Envoy to go off the highway, rollover through the median and stop on the northbound side of the highway.
Cancellieri, who was not injured, remained on the scene.
Several lanes on both sides of the highway were closed for nearly three hours before being reopened at 12:40 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
