United Way to introduce free and low-cost transit options

NASHUA – The United Way of Greater Nashua recently announced an upcoming event designed to shed light on the array of free and low-cost transportation options available in the city.

This informative talk, “Transit Options in Nashua: Navigating Your Transportation Landscape,” will take place on April 23, at 2 p.m. at the Nashua Public Library, 2 Court St.

Presented in collaboration with the Regional Coordination Council for Community Transportation, Nashua Regional Planning Commission, Nashua Transit System and The Caregivers, the event aims to empower Nashua residents with valuable insight into accessible and affordable transportation solutions. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of transit services tailored to meet the diverse needs of the community.

“We are thrilled to host this important discussion on transit options in Nashua,” said Sara Ceaser of the United Way of Greater Nashua. “Access to transportation is crucial for individuals and families to reach essential services, employment, education and recreational activities. By bringing together key stakeholders, we hope to raise awareness and provide valuable resources to enhance mobility for all residents.”

Aspects of the Mobility Management Program will be presented to help various non-driving communities access essential services. There is a statewide mobility management network to help you get to where you need to go. In addition, the Mobility Management Program is helping to create systems to bridge transportation gaps.

The event will cover topics such as public transportation routes, rideshare programs, volunteer driver networks, and more. Whether attendees are looking to save on transportation costs, navigate the city more efficiently, or explore alternative transit options, this event promises to deliver valuable insights and resources.
