Nashua man charged with sexual assault

NASHUA – Joseph Paulauskas, 23, of Nashua was recently arrested in connection with an incident allegedly involving aggravated felonious sexual assault.

According to police, on March 9, a female, whose identity has not been released, told officers that she was sexually assaulted by Paulauskas earlier that evening at his home.

Following further investigation, police took Paulauskas into custody and charged him with two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault-domestic violence and two counts of domestic violence-simple assault.

Under state law, if convicted, Paulauskas could face up to 41 years in prison and a fine of up to $2,000.

Paulauskas was held on preventative detention at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections. He was scheduled to be arraigned at the Ninth Circuit Nashua District Division Court on March 11.
