MERRIMACK – Fimbel Garage Doors is proud to announce its 100th year in the industry. Established in 1924 by Edward Fimbel, Sr., the company has remained under the continuous ownership and operation of the Fimbel family, marking a significant milestone in its century-long journey.

The origins of Fimbel Garage Doors trace back to the signing of the first franchise with the Overhead Door Corp. in 1924. In 1951, Edward Fimbel, Sr.’s eldest son, Paul Niver Fimbel, brought the family business to New Hampshire with a facility under his leadership in Nashua. The franchise with Overhead Door was terminated in 1967, leading the Fimbel family to become an independent entity. In 1993, grandsons Michael and Carl Fimbel transitioned from manufacturing to retail, founding what is now known today as Fimbel Garage Doors.

There will be a grand opening event of the newly remodeled Merrimack showroom as part of the 100th anniversary celebration planned this summer.
