NASHUA – Brandon Allen, 36, of Nashua, is facing a slew of charges stemming from an alleged domestic assault incident in the early morning hours of Feb. 15.

According to police, officers arrived at the scene at 12:52 a.m. and were informed by the female victim that Allen had attacked her and her young son. The names of the victims and the location of the incident have not been released.

The preliminary investigation suggested that Allen attacked the female victim more than once.

“He placed his hands around her neck and she was unable to breathe on two separate occasions during the altercation,” said Sgt. John Cinelli, spokesperson for the Nashua Police Department.

The victim’s son was also reportedly assaulted as he attempted to break up the altercation. In addition, Allen allegedly tried to stop the victim from calling the police.

Allen is now charged with two counts of second degree assault, nine counts of domestic violence, obstructing the report of crime or injury, two counts of simple assault and criminal mischief.

Under state law, if convicted, Allen could face up to 25 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.

Allen refused bail and was scheduled to be arraigned at the Ninth Circuit Nashua District Division Court on Feb. 16.
