Nashua Fire announces eight promotions
NASHUA – Eight members of Nashua Fire Rescue received promotions on Feb. 11.
Karen Conde was promoted to the position of business manager. Conde, who has been with the city for 10 years and with Nashua Fire Rescue since 2016, previously held the position of executive assistant/business coordinator. She will be assigned to Fire Administration.
Matthew Parzych was promoted to the rank of captain. Parzych was hired in May 2000 and is currently a member of both the Dive Team and Hazardous Materials Team. He has been assigned to captain of the Dive Team and will be stationed at the Amherst Street Fire Station.
Matthew Perault was promoted to the rank of captain. Perault has served Nashua Fire Rescue since May 2000 and has been a member of the Hazardous Materials Response Team for the last nine years and will now serve as the team’s captain.
Brian Morrissey, Jr. was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Morrissey was hired in June 2011 and is a second generation firefighter following his father, Brian, who served as chief of Department. Morrissey has been assigned to Engine Co. 6 at the Conant Road Fire Station.
Joshua Hansen was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Hansen was hired in May 2012 and has served on the Hazmat and Dive Teams responding from the Lake Street Fire Station. He has been assigned to Station 1.
Joseph Hebert was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Hired in September 2010, Hebert previously served as aide to Deputy Chief James Kirk prior to Kirk’s recent retirement. He has been assigned to Station 5 on Group 2.
Derek Franzek was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Franzek was hired in November 2012 and was aide to retired Deputy Chief Glen MacDonald and most recently Deputy Chief Kevin Kerrigan. Franzek has been assigned to Station 3.
Benjamin Clark was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. Clark was hired in June 2011 and was assigned to Engine and Ladder Co. 1 for several years. He has been assigned to Station 3.
