HUDSON – Several people were injured during a head-on collision that occurred at 162 Lowell Rd. just before 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 27.

According to police, a Dodge Caravan was traveling north on Lowell Road when the driver crossed into the southbound lane of traffic and slammed into an oncoming Jeep Renegade.

The driver of the minivan, whose identity has not been released, was taken by Boston MedFlight to Lahey Hospital in Burlington, Mass. The driver’s condition has not been released.

The occupants of the Jeep, whose identities are also being withheld, were taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. The number of occupants and the extent of their injuries has not been released.

According to the Hudson Fire Department, mutual aid was limited as other incidents were occuring at the same time in neighboring communities.

The section of Lowell Road between Dakota Drive and Executive Drive was closed for several hours as police continued their investigation.
