Nashua man charged in Chandler Street stabbing

NASHUA — Nathan Hill, 40, of Nashua, has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident that reportedly took place on Chandler Street shortly after 11 a.m. on Jan. 4.

Upon arriving at 36 Chandler St., police found a 43-year-old male victim suffering from a severe stab wound to the chest. The man, whose identity has not been released, was rushed to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for emergency surgery. His condition remains unknown.

According to police, the victim was part of a construction crew that was working on the property when the incident occurred.

Hill was charged with first degree assault and for having an outstanding arrest warrant on an unrelated matter.

He was held on preventative detention at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections prior to his arraignment on Jan. 5 at the Ninth Circuit Nashua District Division Court.

Under state law, if convicted, Hill could face up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $4,000.
