NASHUA – While most 18-year-olds eagerly await high school graduation, resident Dominic Goldsack, who is also 18, is on track to graduate from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration in May 2024.

Goldsack was a junior at Nashua High School North when the COVID-19 pandemic surfaced in March 2020 creating the need for a mandatory quarantine.

Like other teenagers, Goldsack quickly grew tired of staying home all the time.

“During COVID I was kind of bored,” he said.

Unlike other teenagers, Goldsack decided to use that time to fulfill the remainder of his high school requirements and was able to graduate when he was 17. He said students should be able to create their own path through high school, rather than being bound by the traditional four-year model.

After high school, Goldsack went on to pack four years of college into just one year.

In addition to being an academic phenom, Goldsack has also been a musician for the past 12 years.

“It was always just something I wanted to be a part of,” he said, adding that he plays the piano and sings tenor in the SNHU Choir.

Goldsack performed his debut album “Dominic” and senior performance “Gold Live” on Nov. 29 followed by “Used (A Christmas Remix)” on Dec. 20.

He also released a book this past June entitled: “More Than Just a Dreamer: The Story, Analytics and Data of a New Name.”

“It’s been a long journey,” said Goldsack.

Looking ahead Goldsack said he plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in music business. However, he remains unsure about a career path and is taking time to weigh his options — besides, he is only 18.
