CONCORD – Merrimack County Savings Bank recently wrapped up #NHBanksGiveBack, an annual statewide volunteer campaign coordinated by the NH Bankers Association. Throughout the month of October, The Merrimack was one of 27 member banks that stepped up to give back to the communities they serve.
“This year, we decided to host a peanut butter and cereal drive, specifically for children struggling with food insecurity,” said bank President Linda Lorden. “I’m grateful for our incredible employees who are dedicated to giving back to the communities where we live and work.”
The food drive was held at all eight branches and distributed to the following local pantries:
-Friendly Kitchen in Concord
-Twin Rivers Food Pantry in Franklin
-Bow Food Pantry
-Hopkinton Food Pantry
-Hooksett Food Pantry
-Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter
-The Upper Room Food Pantry in Derry
In addition to the food drive, The Merrimack also donated $58,552 to several other food pantries and local nonprofit organizations.
