NASHUA – Robert Johnson is running for Board of Education on the simple premise that every Nashua student is entitled to an excellent education.

Should he be elected, Johnson said he would break down the communication barriers between parents and school officials as well as search for ways to keep school buildings open.

“Each one is an important part of the community,” he said.

Looking back on the 2021 election, Johnson said the COVID-19 pandemic was the “issue that overran everything else.”

“We can now focus more on what we need to improve our schools and deliver support,” he said.

Regarding social media, Johnson said it is important to know the reason for any negative comments.

“Is there a common ground, or is it from misinformation?” he asked. “It’s always best to have open communication with all parties, even those we don’t agree with.”

Johnson has been a member of the New Searles Parent Teacher Organization for the past seven years. He is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York and currently owns Dark Spot, LLC.
