Hooksett man charged with illegal drug sales, firearm felony

HOOKSETT – Stephen Quinn, 69, of Hooksett, was arrested on Oct. 24 in connection with selling illegal drugs and the felonious use of a firearm.

According to Sgt. Michael Zappala of the Hooksett Police Department, officers received “numerous tips” over the course of several months suggesting criminal activity at 13 Scott Ave.

Officers searched the residence on June 26 and reportedly discovered large quantities of methamphetamine and gamma hydroxybutyrate as well as a 9mm pistol.

Quinn was taken into custody on the morning of Oct. 24. After transporting Quinn back to the Police Department, officers allegedly found that he was carrying methamphetamine.

Quinn was held on $5,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 25 at the Merrimack Superior Court.

He is charged with possession/sales of a controlled drug, felonious use of a firearm, possession of a controlled drug and transportation of a controlled drug.

Under state law, if convicted, Quinn could face up to 31 years in prison and up to $46,000 in fines.
