NASHUA – Firefighters responded to an early-morning house fire that claimed one life at 86 Langholm Dr. on Oct. 5.

Upon arrival at 1:30 a.m., fire crews encountered “heavy fire coming through the roof.” Once inside, hoarding conditions made it difficult for firefighters to maneuver. A power line attached to the home also came down during the blaze. The hazard was later rectified by Eversource.

Three residents, who are not being identified at this time, were rescued from the single-family home; however, one of them was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The two other residents were taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and were later transferred to Boston. One of them was listed in critical condition while the other resident was listed in stable condition.

No additional information was available as the cause remains under investigation.
