Nashua man accused of causing 7-car pileup

NASHUA – Ryan Ferguson, 38, of Nashua, was taken into police custody in connection with a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Broad Street and Coliseum Avenue on Aug. 30.

According to police, Ferguson initially left the scene and returned a short time later. Officers also learned that Ferguson was intoxicated and placed him under arrest.

According to police, two individuals suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals.

Ferguson has been charged with misdemeanor-level Driving While Intoxicated and felony-level Conduct After Accident. Under state law, if convicted, Ferguson could face up to seven years in prison, up to $3,200 in fines and having his driver’s license suspended for up to two years.

He was released on bail and will be arraigned in the Ninth Circuit District Division – Nashua Court on Oct. 5.

Additional information was not available as the crash remains under investigation.
