Londonderry man critically injured in Hudson crash
HUDSON – Alexander Giordano, 21, of Londonderry, suffered life-threatening injuries when the 2020 Hyundai Sonata he was driving struck a utility pole on the afternoon of July 18.
According to police, the incident occurred at 4:43 p.m. as Giordano was traveling south on Robinson Road near Christine Drive in Hudson. The vehicle’s impact also caused a large pine tree to fall. No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the crash.
Police reported that Giordano was trapped in the vehicle and that the roof and driver’s side door had to be removed to free him. Giordano was treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital in Nashua. The extent of his injuries required that he be transferred to a hospital in Boston, where he was reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Although the crash remains under investigation, police do not suspect that Giordano was impaired at the time of the crash.
