The greatest quarterback of all time is calling it quits.

No, we haven’t heard from Tom Brady himself in any kind of formal announcement, but ESPN is reporting multiple sources have told the network that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and former longtime Patriots QB is retiring after 22 seasons.

This follows a CBS Sports report on Friday night that strongly suggested Brady was leaning that way and would make an announcement this week.

Brady’s “TB12sports” twitter account tweeted “7 Super Bowl Rings. 5 Super Bowl MVPs. 3 League MVP Awards. 22 Incredible Seasons. Thank you for it all @TomBrady.”

Brady won his seventh Super Bowl championship and fifth Super Bowl MVP award a year ago, but his season — and now, his career — ended last Sunday with a last second NFC playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Brady won six Super Bowl titles with the Patriots over 20 seasons, his last with New England coming three years ago. He left as a free agent following the 2019 season and signed with Tampa Bay.

Brady is a three-time league MVP, two-time NFL Offensive Player of the Year, is the league’s career regular season passing leader with 84,520 yards, passes completed (7,263) and touchdowns (624).

He retires with 35 postseason wins, 86 playoff TD passes, and 13,049 postseason passing yards.
