21 animals removed from Hudson property

HUDSON – A lot of animals were seized down a little side street in town concerning an animal neglect case.

After an investigation by the Hudson Police Animal Control Division in conjunction with the state of New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, a search warrant was served Wednesday at 6 Coll Street in Hudson.

In total, 21 animals were removed from the property and taken to the New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Those animals included: one alpaca, eight chickens, nine goats and three ducks.

The investigation is ongoing, and as of late Thursday morning, the pens on the property appeared empty. No charges have been brought forth.

Animal Control Officer Jana McMillan said police are still looking at possible charges.
