NASHUA – One suspect is in custody after a car chase Wednesday night that was sparked by a report of a shooting on Major Drive.

Police were called to the Major Drive area Wednesday evening to serve a warrant on a city man. Initial reports are sparse, but the man had reportedly sustained a gunshot wound in his leg before police arrived, and fled the area in a car driven be a woman.

Police chased the car, and eventually used spike strips to stop the car on the Everett Turnpike near Exit 6 northbound.

Police officers were seen knocking on doors and searching the Major Drive neighborhood after the car was stopped on the highway. More information about the incident is expected today.
