NASHUA – Roughly 14 hours after police began investigating a report Monday morning that a juvenile had been sexually assaulted at a city residence, officers took 22-year-old Dominic Carrier into custody on related charges.

Carrier, a Nashua resident whose street address wasn’t listed, faces one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault, a Class A felony, according to police.

He was jailed overnight on $10,000 cash only bail, and agreed to waive arraignment Tuesday in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

Police said officers were called to a local residence around 7 a.m. Monday after the department received a report that a juvenile had been sexually assaulted, allegedly by Carrier.

Neither the age nor gender of the alleged victim was listed in the police statement, but police did say the alleged victim was not injured.

Members of the

department’s Special Investigations Division launched an investigation, and soon developed Carrier as the suspect, police said.

The detectives issued a warrant for Carrier’s arrest, and around 9:30 p.m., uniformed officers located Carrier and took him into custody, according to police.
