From The Telegraph Files

By NASHUA HISTORICAL SOCIETY - | Nov 12, 2022

(Courtesy of NASHUA HISTORICAL SOCIETY) Today, very little is recognizable in this vintage photo depicting a scene -- looking west from the intersection of Main and West Pearl streets, that was captured some 140 or so years ago by prolific Nashua photographer Frank Ingalls. For starters, the south side and a small portion of the front porches of the Tremont House are visible at right, and the harness shop at left is where the Nashua Center for the Arts is nearing completion. At least one building in this photo is still standing today -- the Pease Block at center in the far background.
