Greater Nashua Flashback
With somewhere around 50 people, most of them children and teens with a handful of adults interspersed here and there, this ultimate ‘group photo’ could very well include someone or ‘someones’ you recognize (or think you recognize), or for that matter, you may even be that someone you recognize. Anyway, all we know about this photo is that it was taken at the Atherton Avenue playground, probably sometime in the 1950s. The occasion may have been an end-of-the-season party, an event all city playgrounds hosted each year for the kids who frequented their neighborhood playground during summers. The young woman standing at left, and the young man sitting at the far right, may have been the playground supervisors that year.
