Between the tension held by Venus and Neptune, the recent Mercury change and a psychic Scorpio moon, imaginations go wild, wrapping around fanciful falsehoods and prescient truisms alike. Since it will be hard to tell the difference, it’s best to enjoy the entertainment of these flights without sinking real-life resources into them just yet.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You don’t mind letting responsibility dictate your day because your involvement in your commitments keeps you from thinking too much, obsessing over details that don’t matter or being overly focused on yourself.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You only need to concern yourself with the things that genuinely interest you today. It takes boldness to turn down good offers in favor of doing exactly what you feel like doing, but with your diplomatic charm you’ll be smooth about it.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You understand nuance and are perfectly capable of handling complexities. You’re also too smart to waste your time with needlessly difficult things. You’ll figure out how to do it the easy way and make it easier for others too.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Don’t let a relationship get bogged down in transactions. The financial end of things is the least important aspect except for the power plays represented in these exchanges.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Silly things can matter quite a lot, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. The project may seem frivolous, but there’s a reason you’re drawn to it, and in fact this frivolity may be linked to destiny.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You’ve seen things done a million times the same way. You’ll be drawn to deliver the same old information in a new way. Though your first attempts may not nail the concept, ultimately this artful path is worth exploring.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Though you’re serious about growing your talent, you’ll approach the work with a playful spirit because that’s the mode in which you learn the fastest. Lightheartedness makes this pursuit sustainable.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). In the name of friendship, you may refrain from saying approximately half of the things that run across your mental screen — a move you won’t regret. Tomorrow, a lot of this won’t seem important to you anyway.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Eating can be part of a celebration of all that’s going well in your life — and sometimes the way you comfort yourself when it’s not going so well. Eating mindfully will be easier for you today and enlightening too.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). To avoid mental strain, you can either believe everything or believe nothing. Instead, you’ll likely choose to sharpen your intellect on the challenges of investigation and the discomfort of accepting the unknowable.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Keeping score is a job, which is why pro games hire scorekeepers. You’d rather be in situations that don’t require you to do this chore. Things that are intrinsically worthwhile don’t require much in the way of accounting.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). According to Socrates, the two tragedies of life are the failure to win your heart’s desire and winning your heart’s desire. You’ll escape both tragedies due to today’s compromise.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Sept. 24). Though you’ll be awarded and paid handsomely for an accomplishment, the fulfilling aspect of the endeavor is knowing you’re much more than what you’ve done. The people you surround yourself with contribute to your feeling of wholeness. Name a destination to reach by your next solar return; the declaration will be magical. Virgo and Taurus adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 14, 21, 1, 7 and 19.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: From the imagination of Jim Henson came the iconic creatures of “Sesame Street,” “the Muppets,” “Fraggle Rock” and many more. The beloved puppeteer will be remembered for the values portrayed in the worlds he created — ideals that resonate with the energy of his sign. Libra rules art, harmony, relationships, community and fairness. Henson was born when the sun, Mercury and Venus were all in the realm of the scales.
