(Courtesy photo) As spring turns into summer it's a good time to revisit one of the many attractions that drew countless people from around the country, and even the world, to the iconic Benson's Wild Animal Farm that once occupied dozens of acres between Central Street and Kimball Hill and Bush Hill roads. This photo, borrowed years ago from the Benson's archives, shows lion tamer Joe Arcaris conducting a "wedding" at which two of his charges were "married" in what was undoubtedly a publicity stunt for the farm. Today, a large portion of the former animal farm property has gained popularity as Benson Park, which is home to Hudson's Sept. 11, 2001 Memorial and various historic exhibits.
