This building, which appears to house a combination of retail shops, offices, and perhaps rooms on the upper floors also served a post office, judging from the sign above the entrance. It's not clear what town this is, but it's believed to be Milford. A guess is the photo was taken in the late 1800s, perhaps around the turn of the 20th century.
