From The Telegraph Files

By Telegraph file photo - | Apr 30, 2022

(From The Telegraph files) This particular photo, which seems to keep popping up in collectins, books and other formats, was originally printed from a glass plate the photographer created after climbing to the roof of the Odd Fellows building and setting up his tripod and camera facing to the west. Very faint writing on the back states it was taken in the 1890s, and offers other descriptions: "In lower foreground is the roof of the Beasom Block; in middle foreground are buildings along Water Street; in middle background are the buildings of the Nashua Manufacturing Company, along the Nashua River; in right background is the plant of the Nashua Corporation." The photo appeared in the Telegraph in 1953 as part of the newspaper's year-long coverage of Nashua's Centennial celebration.
