Greater Nashua Flashback
From The Telegraph files It was at Christmastime in 1960 that this photo was taken of the young women staying at the former YWCA residence on Prospect Street. The one person in the photo whose identity is known is Mildred Harvey, the so-called "house mother," who is seated on the sofa at right. It was common at the time for young women to board at the house while attending college or staying in the area for a period of time. The men's equivalent was the larger YMCA building at 23 Temple St., which is now an apartment and rooming house.
