The late 1940s to early 1950s would be a reasonable guess of the time frame in which this photo of three no-longer-with-us stores on the first floor of this three-story office and apartment building on Main Street. Which building this is, and which block this is, isn't clear. The names of the stores are, however; many a longtime Nashuan will recall Lampron's, which appears to be in the midst of its 49th anniversary sale at the time. Jordan's would later move a few doors north on Main Street, where it did business for years until owner Jordan Cohen closed it about a decade ago. The second-floor offices include the Selective Service System -- the draft board -- office, and above Lampron's is Van's Beauty Parlor.
