Long before deli counters were absorbed into giant supermarkets, smaller markets and corner grocery stores supplied local families with their provisions, such as this nice-looking roast this veteran butcher -- whose name, unfortunately, isn't readily available -- is showing to customers lined up two deep at the deli counter at Brockleman's, the popular downtown Nashua market that served local folks for years, until the supermarket trend caught on in the 1960s.
