This was the scene on Nashua's Daniel Webster Highway some 30 years ago Aug. 20 when Hurricane Bob hit New England, causing some wind damage but mostly dumping torrential rains that flooded streets and basements. A Nashua firefighter tries to find the evidently blocked storm drain at the corner of Silver Drive, where McDonald's still stands but the Xian in the background is now Lui Lui.
