Many a longtime Nashuan regret losing the city's iconic Union Station, seen in the right background, not to mention the rail service that made life easier for many commuters for both business and pleasure. This photo shows a locomotive pulling passenger cars leaving the station headed north. The station met its unfortunate demise in the mid-1960s. (From The Telegraph Files)
