Greater Nashua Flashback
From The Telegraph Files A true blast from the past is the old pumper that may or may not have once been part of the former Nashua Fire Department's "rolling stock" of firefighting apparatus, but anyone who happened to be in downtown Nashua back when Berg's and Nashua Hardware, also known as Nashua Supply Company, were in business in the block between Temple and Park streets. It's not known for sure when this old pumper and its passenger were photographed, or why it was rolling slowly up Main Street decades after the fire department was fully motorized. It could have been a parade, or some type of exhibition, but whatever it was it must have been pretty chilly, given that the horses were wrapped, appropriately enough, in horse blankets.
