From Telegraph archives Some 85 years ago this month, Nashua's American Legion Post 3 announced they would be giving away free this aircraft during the 1935 American Legion convention, which Nashua hosted that year. The four men's identities are unknown. The winner of the free plane, valued at $1,400, was Stewart Jacobs, a resident of Penacook.
