** ADVANCE FOR WEEKEND, FEB. 17-18 - FILE ** Challenger, the stadium-flying bald eagle based at the American Eagle Foundation in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., joins President Clinton at a White House ceremony on July 2, 1999, to announce that the bald eagle had recovered from the brink of extinction and would be removed from the endangered species list.
