St. Joseph Hospital adds nurse to staff

St. Joseph Hospital Pediatrics is pleased to announce Heather Merrill, MSN and certified pediatric nurse practitioner – primary care or CPNP-PC, has joined the team.

“I believe children are our greatest asset and I’m thrilled to be part of this dynamic group of pediatric providers,” Merrill said. “I relish the opportunity to help our young patients attain and maintain wellness, establish healthy habits and live full lives.”

“We so happy to add Heather to our roster of high-caliber providers at St. Joseph Hospital Pediatrics,” said Donald Reape, MD, medical director of physician practices at St. Joseph Hospital. “Her patients and their parents will appreciate her attentiveness, compassion and ability to provide anticipatory guidance and education on a variety health and wellness topics.”

Merrill earned her bachelor of science in family studies at the University of New Hampshire. She obtained both her bachelor of science in nursing and her master of science in nursing, with a pediatrics specialization, at MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, Mass.

Prior to joining the practice, Merrill was a CPNP at Dartmouth Hitchcock Pediatrics in Concord. There, she served as a primary care provider for more than 600 pediatric patients. She also had worked in the same capacity at Pediatric Health Care at Newton-Wellesley in Wellesley, Mass.

Merrill is accepting new patients at St. Joseph Hospital Pediatrics at 444 Nashua St., Milford. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 673-3870.
