HUB to host tech event Wednesday
The city’s first business incubator will host its inaugural tech seminar on Wednesday evening.
Business leaders associated with nashuaHUB, an open-concept work space for startups and entrepreneurs, have scheduled a two-hour event to focus on the emerging smartphone app industry titled “There’s an APP for That.” The event, which will run from 6-8 p.m. June 29, features members of Science Cafe NH and Steven Tello, Associate Vice Chancellor at UMASS-Lowell.
The new nashuaHUB is located on the first floor of the building located at 4 Water St. There is a $5 cover charge, but beverages and snacks are provided.

Child hit by car, hospitalized
A child on a bicycle was struck by a moving vehicle near the intersection of Church Street and Daniel Webster Highway on Tuesday afternoon.
According to police dispatchers, the unnamed 13-year-old child suffered several broken bones but was conscious when he was transported to the care of the trauma team at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
The parents of the child were notified of the accident within minutes, according to dispatchers, but traffic near that intersection was still backed up more than an hour later.
