Hudson invasion in indictments
NASHUA – Hillsborough County South handed down grand jury for indictments this month in a number of cases, including a Hudson home invasion.
Matthew Felton, 37, formerly of Somersworth, was indicted on one count each of burglary and criminal threatening, both Class B felonies, for allegedly breaking into a home at 29 Woodcrest Drive in Hudson.
At one point, Felton allegedly pointed a BB gun at a woman in the house, police said at the time. He was arrested after local police and members of a regional SWAT team set up a perimeter and entered the house. The occupants fled and were unhurt.
An indictment is not an indication or proof of guilt, but means that the grand jury determined there is enough evidence for prosecutors to move the case forward.
Jonathan Rhodes, 25, is accused of stabbing another man multiple times in the arms, chest and leg in February. The charges against Rhodes, who is being held at Valley Street jail in Manchester, include four counts of first-degree assault, Class A felonies, and four alternative-theory counts of second-degree assault, Class B felonies.
The charges stem from an early-morning confrontation on Chestnut Street on Feb. 10, in which Rhodes is alleged to have inflicted injuries that were not life-threatening upon the male victim, according to police.
Anthony Curtis, 51, of 78 Allds St., Apt. 8, faces two counts each of first-degree assault and second-degree assault, all felonies, for allegedly causing blindness to the left eye of an unidentified victim "by administering pepper spray directly into" the eye, according to the charges.
Another series of indictments include allegations against a Penacook man accused of engaging in various sex acts on July 14 and 19 with a 15-year-old girl who was known to him.
Steven Terry, 40, of 22 Canal St. in the Concord village of Penacook, is charged with four counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, all classified as special felonies that are each punishable by up to 20 years in State Prison.
Terry also faces a Class B felony charge of witness tampering, for allegedly trying to convince the girl to lie to a Child Advocacy Center examiner by "telling her what to say and what not to say," according to the indictment.
Two misdemeanor "information" charges – one for sexual assault and the other for endangering the welfare of a child – were also filed against Terry. They accuse him of fondling the girl and providing her with marijuana and allowing her to smoke it, court documents state.
Other indictments for May include:
Yoel Peguero Betancourt, 38, Valley Street jail, Manchester. One count each of receiving stolen property, Class A felony; operating an organized retail crime enterprise, Class B felony; and disobeying a police officer, Class A misdemeanor, for allegedly retaining 37 cloned credit cards containing information he believed had been stolen, conspiring with another to engage in a scheme involving stolen credit card information and refusing to stop for Hudson police, all Feb. 15 in Hudson.
Omar L. Lewis, 36, Valley Street jail, Manchester. Three counts, sale of a narcotic drug, subsequent offense; two counts, sale of a controlled drug, subsequent offense; one count, possession of drugs with intent to distribute, subsequent offense; one count, driving as a habitual offender, all special felonies; and one count, falsifying physical evidence, Class B felony
