The Milford Polce Department will again be sponsoring the annual Fishing Derby in conjuction with family and friends of Michael McBriarty. The Derby will be on Saturday May 18 from 8 a.m. to noon located at Railroad Pond on South Street in Milford.

Prizes will be awarded to the children in the three age brackets : ages 5 and under, 6-9 and 10-14. Prizes will be awarded in eacha ge bracket and category for the smallest trout, biggest trout and most fish caught during the derby. All children from surrounding communities are welcome to attend this derby. A raffle will be available for all participants. Refreshments will be available to children and adults during the derby. The Milford Police Department welcomes all children and parents for a fun day in memory of a special person. We ask that attendees of the fishing derby park their vehicles at the FIrst Congregational Church parking, located on Union Street or the municipal parking lot next to the police station on Garden Street.
