What A Bagel can satisfy any palate

By Emily Vassar - Telegraph Staff | May 2, 2020

NASHUA – The versatility and range in flavors of the almighty bagel might just qualify it for the role of most universally loved bread. With butter, jam or cream cheese (or all three, why the heck not?), as a sandwich of the breakfast-or-any-other-meal persuasion, or as mini pizzas, bagels are a source of sustenance and smiles. Experts in all things bagels are the folks at What A Bagel in Nashua. Established just last year, this small business has made a mighty impact on our community.

The selection of the bagels themselves is plentiful and varies from Pumpernickel and Sesame Seed to Everything, Bacon & Cheddar, and Asiago. For the sweeter tooth, there are Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon & Raisin, and Cinnamon & Sugar bagels. Their famous Rainbow Bagel is a favorite among children and adults. Something new is always being explored, so be sure to check in for specials. Select spreads include Butter, Jelly, and house-blended cream cheeses. We can choose from many different blends such as Bacon & Scallion, Garlic & Herb, and Strawberry. Special flavors pop up all the time, so keep an eye out for those as well.

Breakfast sandwiches are a sure favorite, whether you’re on the go or relaxing at home. What A Bagel builds masterful combinations of flavors inspired by regional favorites. The Eastern consists of two eggs, ham, American cheese and green peppers. The Western inspires a vision of Big Sky Country with two eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, peppers, red onion and a zippy chipotle mayo. The Southern has a down home feel with two eggs, sausage, cheddar cheese, red peppers and Sriracha sauce. The Texan lets you pick a meat (ham, bacon or sausage) to add to a decidedly Tex-Mex-inspired two eggs, pepper jack cheese and guacamole. Lastly, you can’t serve bagels without something at least paying homage to Lox: smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers make their final breakfast sandwich a traditional yet refreshing choice.

Lunch is equally impressive at What A Bagel. Options range from the Cranberry Almond Chicken Salad with lettuce and tomato to a BLT with Provolone and chipotle mayo. Four other well thought out combinations of flavors and textures are available to peruse, as well as Lisa’s Favorite, which is a delicious stack of turkey, guacamole, pepper jack cheese, tomato and red onion. Lisa clearly knows her sandwich game.

Available hot beverages include New England Coffee blends, teas and chais. The cold versions of those three are there for you, as well as sodas, bottled iced teas, and chocolate and strawberry milks. Snacks like various muffins and chips can help round out the perfect breakfast or lunch order.

Whether you’re looking for a baker’s dozen of your favorite bagels with spreads, a hearty sandwich, or something to share with the family or office, What A Bagel has what you need. They work hard every day to continue offering us take out and delivery of their delicious products, all with a smile and a genuine interest in us and our shared community.
