MERRIMACK – Author Linda Reilly, a long-time New Hampshire resident, is back with another cozy mystery jam-packed with cats!

She’s writing about fictional cats, that is, at the High Cliff Shelter for Cats in Whisker Jog, New Hampshire.

“The Girl with the Kitten Tattoo,” Reilly’s fifth in the series, will be released by Kensington’s Lyrical Press on May 26, in e-book format. For readers who prefer a print version, a print-on-demand option will be available.

Reilly’s first book in the series, “Escape Claws,” was selected by the editor-in-chief of Modern Cat magazine as a “must read.”

“The Girl with the Kitten Tattoo” features watercolor artist Lara Caphart, who runs a shelter for cats with her aunt out of their Folk Victorian home.

As Lara prepares for her best friend Sherry’s Valentine’s Day wedding, murder once again rears its ugly head.

With the help of her spirit cat, Blue, Lara jumps into the investigation armed only with the fuzziest of clues.

But she has to act fast, because a killer with a sinister agenda is still out there and time is running out.

Reilly has been writing since 1995, when Woman’s World Magazine published her first mini-mystery. Her dream of publishing a novel was realized in 2013 with the release of “Some Enchanted Murder” by Five Star Publishing.

Reilly also is the author of the Deep Fried Mysteries published by Berkley Prime Crime. It is a series set in the Berkshires, where she was raised.

She lives with her husband and her cat, Panda, in Merrimack and writes mysteries full time.

Armed with a degree in criminal justice, Reilly once contemplated a career in law enforcement. But life took a twist, and she found her niche in real estate closings and title examination, where the Registry of Deeds enticed her into solving mysteries of a different sort.
