61 new COVID-19 cases, 40% hike over previous seven days Tuesday in NH

CONCORD – The state Department of Health and Human Services announced 61 new positive test results for COVID-19, averaging 38 cases a day over the last seven days, up 40 percent over previous seven days, and one death Tuesday.

The Death involved:

1 female resident of Rockingham County, 60 years of age and older

Today’s results include 23 people who tested positive by PCR test and 38 who tested positive by antigen test. There are now 270 current COVID-19 cases diagnosed in New Hampshire.

Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will be incorporated into future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, there are thirteen individuals under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 57% being female and 43% being male. The new cases reside in Rockingham (9), Strafford (8), Merrimack (7), Belknap (6), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (5), Grafton (3), Carroll (2), Cheshire (2), Coos (2), and Sullivan (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (5) and Nashua (3). The county of residence is being determined for eight new cases.

There are currently 24 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. In New Hampshire since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 100,025 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed.
