How did you celebrate the new year?
Well, the sun again revolved around the earth as we bid goodbye to the year 2025 a couple weeks ago and welcomed in 2026. This time of year, we opt to make resolutions (which most of us do not keep) to lose weight, make more money, be a better person, find a new job and the list goes on and on. I thought it would be fun to delve into New Year’s traditions in various countries around the world. Some of them tie in with what we do here, some do not. I have a direct connection to Irish heritage, as my wife is part Irish, so I thought that would be the first tradition I’d look at. Did you know that in Ireland, at the stroke of midnight, those seeking good luck are advised to walk in the front door and walk out the back of their house?
