Ohm seeks reelection in Hillsborough 10

NASHUA - State Rep. Bill Ohm (R-Nashua) is running for reelection in Hillsborough District 10 to continue his mission of lowering property taxes. Nashua’s current property tax rate is $16.83 per $1,000 of assessed value, according to the city’s Property Tax and Wastewater Department. “Local casinos, such as The Nash, are required to pay about 10 percent of their slot profits to regional charities. This is now nearly $30 million per year,” said Ohm. “I believe some of this money should be given back to Nashua to reduce property taxes.” In January 2025, Ohm was the primary sponsor of a bill to establish a Charitable Gaming Study Commission and “require historic horse racing licensees to distribute 10 percent of total HHR revenue to the municipality in which the licensee operates.” The legislation did advance beyond the House Ways and Means Committee, which ...
