Nash player breaks record for largest progressive jackpot in state history
NASHUA – A three card poker player, known only as R.B. of Marblehead, Mass., set a new state record at The Nash Casino, winning a progressive jackpot of $402,108 on Sept. 6. According to casino officials, during the game, R.B. made an optional $5 side bet. He was then dealt a straight flush, which included a four, five and six of spades. This gave R.B. one spin on the Bonus Spin Xtreme wheel, where he won the Triple Diamond jackpot. "There was an electric feeling in the air when the straight flush was revealed,” said General Manager Eric Althaus. “Patrons and staff held their breath in support of the player and the venue felt like it was vibrating as the dial turned around the wheel.
