City grieves loss of Alderwoman Gloria Timmons
NASHUA - Gloria Timmons, an alderwoman-at-large, former Board of Education member and a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army, passed away on Oct. 29. “Nashua has lost one of its most devoted public servants. Gloria’s compassion, strength, and commitment to others left a lasting mark on this city and on all who knew her,” said a representative of the Nashua Teachers Union in a Facebook post. “Gloria served with dedication and grace—first on the Board of Education during the challenging years of the COVID pandemic and most recently as an at-large member of the Board of Aldermen.” Alderman-at-Large Benjamin Clemons said the city has lost a “great leader.” “I have known Gloria since she was serving on the Board of Education, and was very proud to serve with her these last four years on the Board of Aldermen,” he said. “Gloria was a champion for the under-served and ...
