Lacrosse: Bunton lifts South girls over Londonderry

Girls Lacrosse

Nashua South 9, Londonderry 7

Rileigh Bunton came up huge in the Panthers’ net with seven saves, and the defense of Izzy Bolduc, Emma Pucillo, Bailey Morin and Livvy Kingston combined for 13 Ground balls and nine forced turnovers to key the victory.

Emily Colburn was strong on the draws. Kirsten McIntire scored four times with two assists for 9-5 South, while Olivia Johnson and Sarah Signorello each scored twice. Liz Harrington had a goal while Kaitlyn West had an assist.

Hollis Brookline 20, John Stark 10

The Cavaliers got 10 saves from Olivia Valentine to make it a perfect 10-0 start to the year. Sydney Speir, Dana Ulrich, Reagan Berry, Jillian O’Hara and Rachel Ash played strong defensively. Abbey Magnuszewski finished with a team-high five goals. Tasha White, Paisley Broadhurst, Victoria Bruzik and Kelsey Sweeney all scored three times. Sweeney had three assists, and White controlled eight draws.

Souhegan 16, Concord 8

Taylor Clark led the Sabers with four goals, followed by Savannah Behn and O’Neill Galinson (four assists) with three goals apiece.

Clare Woodford and Abby Hawkes scored twice, while Margot Manz and Hannah Rowe pitched in a goal and an assist each. Alex Labrosse earned the win in goal with four saves.

Campbell 13, Inter-Lakes 7

Jocelyn Theriault scored six goals and dished out three assists for the winners. Bailey Bourque added a pair of goals with three assists.

Kate Stoncius and Emman Montenero each had two goals for the 4-5 Cougars.

Boys Lacrosse

Trinity 11, Milford 8

The Spartans fall to 2-7 with the tough loss despite 14 big saves from Kyle Forsley in goal.

Logan Barnhill led Milford with three goals, while Matt Hannon had two. Corey Girouard, Riley O’Shaughnessy and Anthony Viola netted one apiece.

Hollis Brookline 18, Manchester West 4

JJ Fiore scored five times with four assists for the 10-0 Cavaliers. Joseph O’Reilly and Hunter Hudzik netted four goals apiece and combined for seven assists. Joe MacDonough, Dylan Terenzoni, Tim Sulin, Blake Bergerson and Jacob Roy all found the net for HB.

Merrimack 13, ConVal 3

The Tomahawks improved to 7-5 behind four goals from Jay Lanigan and three from Jordan Petrocelli. TJ Fasano and Steven Petz each scored twice, while Matt Todd and Ian Covell had singles. Garrett Murray and Aiden Award each made 3 saves for Merrimack, which heads to Manchester Central on Wednesday night.

Londonderry 18, Nashua South 12

Drew Fleury paced the Panther attack with five goals, and Nate Campbell added three.

Jaden Murphy (2 goals, 2 assists) and Joe Bodi (1 goal, 3 assists) were involved all night long.

Brendon Frost, David Barnett and Josh Taylor played well on defense in front of Dom Pasquale, who made 10 saves for South, which is at Keene on Wednesday.
