What unites Dems?

By Staff | Jun 15, 2019

What issue seems to unite members of the Democratic Party these days?

Is it climate change and the desire to eliminate all fossil fuels from the American energy portfolio?

Not quite. Although many Democrats support the so-called Green New Deal, plenty still stop short of calling for a full ban on coal, oil and natural gas.

Is it the desire to ban assault weapons and enforce universal background checks on gun purchases?

Another close but not quite. There are Democrats who will not commit to an outright ban on these firearms.

Is it to give citizenship status to all unauthorized immigrants and leave the border with Mexico totally open?

No.

Is it so-called “Medicare for All,” or another form of single-payer health care for all Americans?

No.

Is it to erase all student loan debt and provide free public college education to all?

Still no.

Is it to find a way to replace the tens of thousands of blue-collar jobs our nation has lost to globalism and automation in the last 50 years?

Not when their hedge fund manager friends benefit from outsourcing.

Is it to grant access to free abortion to anyone at anytime for any reason?

Absolutely.

Last week, former Vice President Joe Biden, a practicing Catholic, felt intense pressure from the pro-abortion forces that now control the Democratic Party to denounce his long-standing support of the Hyde Amendment. This provision prohibits the use of taxpayers’ money to cover the cost of an abortion, except when used to save the life of the woman, or if the pregnancy arises from incest or rape.

“If I believe health care is a right, as I do, I can no longer support an amendment” that makes it harder for some women to access care, Biden said at a Democratic Party fundraiser in Atlanta.

That’s right. The one thing that unites all Democrats today is that you should have to pay for a woman to destroy her fetus – which she might be carrying for up to nine months – because she didn’t want her consensual male partner to wear a condom. If you don’t believe that, you can’t run for president in the Democratic Party.

Welcome to America in 2019.
