Frank Conrad Durham
Frank Conrad Durham, 82, of Hollis, NH, passed away on January 25, 2018 in Nashua after a long illness. He was born in Ohio on December 20, 1935 to the late George E. and Jane Conrad Durham. He attended high school at the University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio graduating in 1954. He went on to earn a degree in psychology from Yale University in 1958 and subsequently served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy completing a tour of duty in the Pacific before resigning his commission in 1961. He then entered the computer field helping to pioneer computerized typesetting applications.
After moving to Hollis in the 1970’s, Frank worked as a part-time officer with the town police force. Later in life his passion was rowing and building wooden boats, winning many races, and also volunteering his time to the Traditional Small Craft Association.
Surviving members of his family include his wife Susan B. Durham, his sister Jane and her husband Robert Spence, daughters Kimberly Durham and her husband Robert Stewart of Erie, CO, Alison and her husband Charles Brown of Deerfield Beach, FL, Elizabeth Pinksten, son George S. Durham of Milford, NH. Grandfather to Melissa and her husband Rajeev Rupani of Waltham, MA, Corri Stewart of Erie, CO, Dyanna and her husband Joseph Tropea of Manchester, NH, Tyrrell Stewart of Portsmouth, RI, Molly Pinksten and Robert Pinksten and their father Mark Pinksten of Nashua, NH, Rebecca Durham of Milford, NH. Great Grandfather of Dahlia Tropea of Manchester, NH.
The family wishes to thank the Courville of Nashua for the care and attention they gave Frank.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s name to the Humane Society of Nashua, NH. A “Celebration of Life” reception is scheduled in his home at 2 PM on February 17, 2017.
